Frank Jonen

I’m a graduate of the typography program at Gutenberg School (http://www.gutenbergschule-ffm.de/) for The Printing Arts in Frankfurt / Main, Germany. Where my passion for “everything type” broke loose and got me into type design. Opposed to writing term papers on page layout, the origin and creation of typefaces always seemed more appealing to me.

Nowadays I’m working on and with OpenType based outline fonts and pixel based font systems, like PhotoFonts and LiveFonts. Also my other dark side appears to be working on visual effects solutions and interface design and the two actually do talk to each other, a bit like Jekyll and Hyde with instant messaging thrown in… oh and I won’t bite your arm or leg off.
